Unlike the Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077, which draw from existing source material, Project Hadar represents a fresh creative endeavor for CD Projekt Red. While specifics remain limited (it's confirmed not to be a space horror), the project has significantly expanded its team beyond the initial twenty developers.

Current openings include roles for programmers, VFX artists, technical artists, writers, and mission designers. The enthusiastic response from industry professionals, describing the opportunity as "once-in-a-lifetime," suggests Project Hadar has moved beyond the conceptual phase and into full production.

CD Projekt Red is currently managing multiple projects concurrently. The largest team is focused on Project Polaris, the initial installment in the new Witcher trilogy featuring Ciri. Additional teams are developing a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel and another game within the Witcher universe.
