Upgrade Locations: Workbenches

Weapon and armor upgrades are performed at Workbenches (pictured above). These require various materials depending on the item type and Quality. Most materials are readily available in the game world or craftable. However, advancing a weapon's Quality requires progressively rarer Adra types.

Workbenches are located at Party Camps, established near Adra Waystones. After interacting with a Waystone, select the option to set up camp. These camps are marked on your map with a tent icon and offer fast travel capabilities.

Understanding Weapon and Armor Levels

Avowed uses a two-pronged system for gear power: Quality and upgrade tiers.

• Quality: Represented by a numerical value, color rarity (Green, Blue, Purple, Red, Gold), and descriptive adjective. This directly correlates to enemy levels in the Living Lands. Lower Quality gear is significantly less effective against higher-level foes. Using gear of comparable or superior Quality is essential for optimal combat performance.
