Secure Camera is a modern camera app designed with privacy and security in mind. It offers a comprehensive camera experience with modes for capturing images, videos, and scanning QR/barcodes. The app supports additional modes like Portrait, HDR, Night, Face Retouch, and Auto, leveraging CameraX vendor extensions.

User Interface and Features:

• Modes: The app features a tab interface at the bottom of the screen for easy mode switching. Users can navigate between modes by tapping on the tabs or by swiping left or right.
• Settings Panel: A settings panel is accessible by tapping the arrow button at the top of the screen. Users can close the settings panel by tapping anywhere outside of it or by swiping down.
• Camera Switching and Capture: A row of large buttons above the tab bar allows users to switch between cameras, capture images, and start/stop video recording. The volume keys can also be used as a capture button. During video recording, the gallery button transforms into an image capture button.
• In-App Gallery and Video Player: The app includes an in-app gallery and video player for viewing and editing images and videos. Currently, editing functionality relies on external editor activities.
• QR Code Scanning: The app features a dedicated QR scanning mode. It scans within a designated square on the screen and supports non-standard inverted QR codes. Users can zoom, toggle the torch, and select different barcode types for scanning.

Privacy and Security:

Secure Camera prioritizes privacy by stripping EXIF metadata from captured images. Future plans include adding support for video metadata stripping.

Permissions:

The app requires camera and microphone permissions. Location tagging is an experimental feature.
