The narrative arc of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues to unfold. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2's anticipated launch in late 2025 promises fresh endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several new story quests, setting the stage for Patch 11.1 and its focus on Undermine, the Goblin capital. A separate questline concludes the tragic saga of Dalaran's destruction, though it wasn't immediately available upon patch release.

Dalaran, a long-standing fixture in Warcraft lore, may never fully recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides a fitting conclusion to this storyline and a proper farewell to a once-vital social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue

Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. For a spoiler-free and context-rich experience, it's recommended to catch up on prior story elements. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises these quests:

Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within

Initially, a three-week delay was implemented for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. However, unlocking this campaign necessitates completing both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions).

To verify completion, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). The presence of Khadgar (post-January 7th) indicates eligibility for his quest. His absence signifies unfinished campaign quests. The complete Dalaran Epilogue quest list is below:
