Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. This guide focuses on the five Golden Idols hidden throughout Act 3, which, despite being labeled "Quest Items," don't function like typical quest items. They aren't logged, and unlike most quest items, they aren't traded for quest progression or rewards. Instead, these idols are valuable sellable items.

Locating the Golden Idols

After completing the Ziggurat Encampment and traversing the Vaal ruins, a portal transports you to Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present), the Vaal civilization at its zenith. Within Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat, lie the five Golden Idols. They are not random enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Idols

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and speak to Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He'll appraise your idols, and you can sell them through his Buy & Sell interface for a substantial amount of gold:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Collecting all five yields a total of 6000 gold. Given their size and sole purpose as valuable sellable items, it's recommended to sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
