Supporting Darle: Choosing to let Darle destroy the mine yields 1026 XP. However, this action eliminates any monetary reward from Kada and Seyon and further strains relations between the Aedyrans and Thirdborn. Lying about your actions doesn't alter the outcome.

Stopping Darle: Preventing Darle's plan offers superior rewards. Killing Darle grants 212 XP immediately, followed by 879 XP after speaking with the mining officials (a total of 1091 XP – 65 more than supporting him). Additionally, you receive 900 gold coins from Seyon and Kada. Looting Darle's corpse yields a Blackwood Branch (a valuable upgrade material), Wild Mushroom Stew, and two Beetle Pies.

While maintaining positive relations between the Aedyrans and Thirdborn is narratively beneficial, stopping Darle provides significantly better gameplay rewards in terms of XP, gold, and a rare upgrade material. Therefore, thwarting Darle's plan is the recommended course of action.
