Celebrate 25 Years of The Sims with Legacy Collections! EA and Maxis are throwing a fantastic anniversary party with the return of The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 to PC. Both games are now available individually or bundled together in The Sims 25th Birthday Bundle for $40.

These Legacy Collections offer comprehensive packages. The Sims 1 Legacy Collection and The Sims 2 Legacy Collection include nearly all expansions and stuff packs. The only apparent omission is The Sims 2's IKEA Home Stuff pack. As a bonus, The Sims 1 receives a "Throwback Fit Kit," and The Sims 2 gets a "Grunge Revival Kit."

PlayThis marks a significant return for these classic titles. The Sims 1 was initially a disc-only release, making it inaccessible to many without a physical copy and compatibility workarounds. While The Sims 2 was previously available through an Ultimate Collection, it was later removed from EA's Origin store. Now, all four main Sims games are easily accessible digitally.

Originally reviewed with scores of 9.5/10 (The Sims 1) and 8.5/10 (The Sims 2), these games retain their charm. Despite the series' evolution, their unique blend of quirky gameplay, relative simplicity, challenging aspects, and historical significance makes them well worth revisiting.

The Sims: Legacy Collection and The Sims 2: Legacy Collection are available now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the EA app.
