Pokémon Presents Event Coming Next Week
The Pokémon Company has exciting news for fans as they've announced a Pokémon Presents event set to deliver updates on the beloved franchise. Scheduled for February 27, 2025, in celebration of Pokémon Day, the event will be live-streamed on the Pokémon YouTube channel at 6am Pacific Time, 9am Eastern Time, and 2pm UK Time. While the specifics of what will be covered remain under wraps, enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating announcements regarding the next mainline Pokémon game, which has yet to be unveiled. The company has already teased fans with the upcoming spin-off, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, slated for release in 2025, but details on the next official "generation" of Pokémon are still eagerly awaited.
These Pokémon Presents events are known for covering a wide range of updates, including developments in other ongoing Pokémon games such as Pokémon Unite, Pokémon Sleep, Pokémon GO, and Pokémon Masters EX. There's also a high chance we'll receive news on the recently launched Pokémon TCG Pocket, alongside updates on the physical trading card game.
Reflecting on the previous year, the last Pokémon Presents event occurred around the same time and brought forth announcements like the new Legends game, upcoming Tera Raid Battle events for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and the introduction of the Pokémon Trading Card Game on mobile devices. Notably, 2024 marked a change from previous years by featuring only one Pokémon Presents event and being the first year since 2015 without a major Pokémon game release.
