Mask Around: A Gooey Sequel That Packs a Punch

Mask Around, the sequel to 2020's quirky roguelike platformer Mask Up, is now available on Google Play. This time, the familiar yellow ooze returns, but with a significant twist: you'll be engaging in both intense gun battles and close-quarters brawling.

Remember the bizarre, goo-based adventures of Mask Up? If you're craving more of that unique gameplay, prepare for another dose of weirdness from developer Rouli. While the original focused primarily on 2D brawling, Mask Around introduces 2D shooting mechanics, allowing for a dynamic shift between ranged combat and melee attacks.

Your goo powers remain crucial, but now you have the option to switch between them and your arsenal of weapons. Managing your limited goo supply, especially during boss fights, is still paramount.

More Than Just Goo

Mask Around represents a substantial evolution of the original formula. It retains the core gameplay while significantly expanding upon it, adding depth and strategic choices. Players must now carefully consider when to utilize their goo abilities versus their weaponry. The enhanced graphics also contribute to a more polished overall experience.

Currently available on Google Play, there's no confirmed iOS release date. While I haven't played the original, Mask Around appears to be a considerable improvement, offering a more strategic and visually appealing experience.
