Captain America: Brave New World, clocking in at a concise 1 hour and 58 minutes, claims the title of shortest Captain America film and one of the shortest MCU films overall. AMC Theatres confirmed this runtime, placing it among the select few MCU entries under two hours and ranking it seventh shortest out of 35 films. This contrasts sharply with the previous three Captain America films, all exceeding two hours.

While most shorter MCU films hail from Phases 1 and 2, several exceptions emerged more recently. The shortest, The Marvels (2022), runs 1 hour and 45 minutes, followed by The Incredible Hulk, Thor: The Dark World, Thor, Doctor Strange, and Ant-Man.

Brave New World shares its runtime with Ant-Man and The Wasp. In contrast, the longest MCU film, Avengers: Endgame, stretches to 3 hours and 1 minute, followed by Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Eternals, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Despite its imminent February 14th release, Brave New World reportedly underwent extensive rewrites and reshoots, including scenes featuring WWE star Seth Rollins. The impact of these revisions on the final runtime remains unclear.

This film marks the first Captain America adventure since Chris Evans' Steve Rogers retired, starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson. Mackie has described it as a grounded espionage thriller, upholding the series' legacy.

The film promises to incorporate lesser-known Marvel characters, including a payoff to a tease in The Incredible Hulk, through the introduction of The Leader. Red Hulk also features prominently.
