Jon Bernthal's Punisher Set for Marvel Special Post-Daredevil: Born Again

Jon Bernthal is set to reprise his role as the Punisher in an exciting new Marvel special following the first season of Daredevil: Born Again. The announcement of the Punisher special comes amidst Marvel Television's broader plans to bring back the Defenders on Disney+. This team of street-level superheroes, comprising Matt Murdock's Daredevil, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones, Mike Colter's Luke Cage, and Finn Jones' Iron Fist, made their mark on Netflix before transitioning to Disney+ and becoming part of the MCU canon.

Brad Winderbaum shared his enthusiasm about the opportunity to expand this universe, acknowledging the limitations of television production compared to the boundless possibilities of comic books.
