Indus Notches 5M Downloads, Concludes Manila Playtest

Author : Andrew Jan 26,2025

Indus, the Indian-made battle royale shooter, has achieved a significant milestone with over five million Android downloads and over 100,000 iOS downloads within two months of its launch. This success follows a Google Play Best Made in India Game 2024 award and a successful international playtest in Manila.

The game's developer, SuperGaming, aims to establish Indus as a leading title in the Indian gaming market, surpassing competitors like FAU-G: Domination. The Manila playtest at the YGG Play Summit provided valuable feedback from international esports players.

Further solidifying its esports ambitions, SuperGaming launched the Clutch India Movement, featuring the Indus International Tournament. This tournament, running from October 2024 to February 2025, boasts a substantial INR 2.5 crore (approximately $31,000) prize pool.

Impressive Growth, Future Potential

While the five million downloads fall slightly short of the initial ten million pre-registrations (a common occurrence), the figures still represent considerable success. The lower iOS download numbers suggest a need for further engagement with that specific player base.

Despite this, SuperGaming's proactive approach, including international playtests and a dedicated esports tournament, demonstrates ambitious plans for Indus's future growth.

For players seeking competitive multiplayer experiences, extensive lists of top multiplayer games are available for both Android and iOS platforms.
