Genshin Impact 5.5: Android Controller Support Added

For all the Genshin Impact enthusiasts playing on Android, exciting news awaits you! The long-awaited controller support is finally making its way to your devices with the upcoming Version 5.5 update. It's been a considerable wait, especially since iOS players have been enjoying this feature since 2021. But the wait is nearly over, and soon, you'll be able to immerse yourself in the world of Teyvat with enhanced control.

When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?

Mark your calendars for March 26th, 2025, because that's when you can start connecting your Android device to a controller and dive into Genshin Impact with a whole new level of gameplay. The update will officially support four types of controllers: DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Keep in mind, all these controllers need to be Bluetooth-enabled for seamless connectivity.

But that's not all Version 5.5 has in store. Alongside controller support, the update brings several quality-of-life improvements to enhance your gaming experience. One of the standout features is the cross-scene quest tracking. This means you can now track quests across different areas without interruption, simply by opening the map and teleporting directly to your desired location.

For those newer to the game, the boss guides are also receiving an update to better explain enemy mechanics, making your battles more strategic and enjoyable. Additionally, optimizations are coming to the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system. Full details on these enhancements will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
