Critical Role Campaign 3 Ends Next Week With an 8 Hour Finale
Critical Role, the wildly popular Dungeons & Dragons show featuring voice acting stars like Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, and Travis Willingham, is bringing its epic Campaign 3 to a close next week with a spectacular eight-and-a-half-hour livestream event.
As reported by Polygon, the grand finale kicks off February 6th at 7 PM Pacific Time/10 PM Eastern Time (that's 3 AM on February 7th for our UK viewers). You can catch all the action live on Critical Role's YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as their membership service, Beacon.
This momentous episode will finally bring the curtain down on the adventures of the Bells Hells, a journey that began back in October 2021. While no direct spin-offs or sequels for this specific campaign have been announced, Critical Role has confirmed that the stories within the world of Exandria will continue to unfold.
"This finale for Campaign 3 marks the end of one very epic chapter of Exandrian history," shared creative director and cast member Marisha Ray. "But while we celebrate the end of this chapter, it’s important to know that the story continues. I’m excited to see what happens next in this story that remains to be written by the incredible emergent storytellers who are picking up the pen."
The end of Campaign 3 doesn't mean Critical Role is taking a break. Another Exandria Unlimited mini-series, a four-episode spin-off, premieres just a week later on February 14th. And plenty more shows and streams are planned for the future.
As for the highly anticipated Campaign 4, Critical Role remains tight-lipped on the launch date. Historically, there have been a few months between campaigns (for example, Vox Machina concluded in October 2017, and Mighty Nein started in January 2018). Given this pattern, and the fact that Campaign 3 wrapped up in June 2021, an announcement—or even the premiere—around Critical Role's 10th anniversary on March 12th wouldn't be surprising.
