Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Chaos Arrives December 3rd!
Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, updates, and exciting new features. Prepare for a completely revamped minion lineup and a Tavern that feels brand new.
Bob's Technotavern Gets a Tech Upgrade:
Season 9 resets the rankings and bids farewell to Trinkets. In their place? Battlegrounds Tokens! These tokens allow you to reroll a hero option at the selection screen, providing a second chance if you're unhappy with your choices.
Minion Reveal Schedule:
Here's the schedule for the upcoming minion reveals:
- November 20: Naga and Dragon reveals.
- November 21: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
- November 22: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
- November 25: Murloc and Demon reveals.
- November 26: Elemental and Undead reveals.
- December 2: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes release.
More New Features:
Season 9 introduces three new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz with his Galaxy's Lens ability. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are entering or leaving the pool, creating a dynamic meta.
A damage cap adjustment affects solo Battlegrounds: early-game damage is capped at 5, rising to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. However, the cap is removed once you reach the top 4.
Minion Pool Rollout:
- December 3: Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs are added.
- December 5: Murlocs and Demons join the fray.
- December 9: Undead and Elementals complete the lineup.
