Worried about that Check Engine Light (MIL)? Piston reads and interprets Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and Freeze Frame data, providing valuable insights into the problem. This helps you pinpoint the issue and get it fixed faster.

You'll need an ELM327 Bluetooth or WiFi adapter, which plugs into your vehicle's OBD2 port. Piston provides clear connection instructions accessible from the Home page after installation or within the Settings menu.

Piston requires a separate ELM327 adapter (Bluetooth or WiFi) and is compatible with OBD-II (OBDII, OBD2), and EOBD standards. Most US vehicles from 1996 and onward support OBD2. EU petrol vehicles from 2001 and diesel vehicles from 2004 are EOBD compliant. Australian and New Zealand compliance dates are 2006 (petrol) and 2007 (diesel).

Important: Piston only accesses data your vehicle provides through the OBD2 standard.
