The Peak Hunters application offers an ever-growing database of peaks from the Czech Republic and select neighboring countries. With GPS technology on your smartphone, you can track your ascent to the summit and earn a point score based on the mountain's altitude and the difficulty of the climb. You can also add your own ratings and photos for each peak you conquer. The app displays all peaks clearly on the map, allowing you to filter them by country, mountain range, or proximity to your current location. Offline map data can be downloaded, ensuring you stay on track even in areas with weak signals. The maps, powered by OpenStreetMap, also highlight tourist routes. If you discover a peak missing from our database or plan to visit a hill not yet listed, you can easily add it by long-pressing on the map. Once approved, the peak will appear in the app, and you'll earn bonus points for your contribution. Peak Hunters includes an expanding set of statistics and collectible badges. Keep the badges you earn, and receive special congratulations for rare ones. For each peak, you can access the latest weather forecast, aiding in trip planning up to 48 hours ahead. Another handy feature is the ability to identify mountain peaks simply by pointing your phone towards them, with the right distance filter applied. You can also use the app in an anonymous mode. In incognito mode, functionality remains the same, but you cannot transfer your profile to other devices, log out, or recover your profile if your device is lost or data is damaged. We recommend trying the app in incognito mode before switching to a registered profile. The application is completely ad-free and incurs no fees. It was created by a passionate hiker seeking a tool to collect peaks during travels with offline map capabilities. You can now manually switch between dark and light mode on the user profile screen. If you encounter any errors, miss features, or have any feedback, you can reach us directly through the in-app form. We value all feedback. There is no associated website; the app is fully functional on its own.
