How to Play Okey Game

The offline Okey game is traditionally played with four players. Each player sorts their tiles using a cue stick. The Okey game pieces come in four colors: Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue, numbered from 1 to 13, along with two fake Okey tiles. In total, there are 106 tiles.

At the start of the game, all tiles are shuffled and automatically distributed to the players. The player next to the distributor receives 15 tiles, while the others get 14. Players then arrange their tiles into groups of pairs or sets based on their cues.

The remaining tiles are placed in the middle of the table. The open numbered tile in the center serves as the indicator tile, and the tile matching its color and number is designated as the Okey Stone. The Okey Stone can substitute for any tile in the game. Finishing the game with an Okey tile doubles the points earned.

In a normal tile arrangement, players must form at least three sets. Sets can be formed either by arranging tiles of the same color in numerical sequence or by grouping tiles of the same number across different colors.

For pair formation, players aim to arrange all their tiles into pairs. Completing the game with seven pairs by discarding the last tile to the center of the table ends the game.

The indicator rule applies at the start of a new game. The next player shows the indicator tile, and if it's colored Okey, 2 points are deducted from other players if it's not.

At the end of the game, if the final discarded tile is not an Okey, it's considered a normal finish. Points are deducted as follows: 4 points if it's Okey colored, otherwise 2 points. Completing the game with seven pairs deducts 4 points from other players. If all tiles are the same color and in order from 1 to 13, it's a color finish, reducing other players' points to zero. If all tiles are the same color but not in order, 8 points are deducted from other players.
