WoW Unveils 2025's First 6-Month Subscription Deal

World of Warcraft has introduced a new set of in-game items for players who commit to at least six months of subscription time: the Timbered Sky Snake mount for modern WoW and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet for Classic. These items, inspired by the 2025 Zodiac Sign, are available to players who purchase bulk subscriptions or are already subscribed. Rewards will be distributed no later than January 31, 2025.

Since 2018, World of Warcraft has been rewarding fans who opt for extended subscriptions with bonus in-game incentives. These rewards often align with the lunar Zodiac signs and are typically updated in January and July. Previous rewards included the Auspicious Arborwyrm for 2024, themed around the Year of the Wood Dragon.

For 2025, the new six-month subscription offer includes the Timbered Sky Snake, a flying mount for retail WoW that embodies the Year of the Wood Snake, and the Timbered Air Snakelet, its matching pet for Cataclysm Classic. These items can be acquired by purchasing a six-month subscription, but they are also available for individual purchase in the in-game store for $25 and $10, respectively. The Timbered Sky Snakelet for modern WoW can be bought from the Battle.net shop for $10 but is not part of the subscription offer.

Players currently on recurring subscriptions will also receive these rewards. Both items will be added to eligible Battle.net accounts by January 31, 2025, and must be redeemed before January 31, 2026, when they will likely be replaced by items themed around the Year of the Fire Horse.

Those who choose a 12-month subscription will also receive the Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts for modern WoW, and the Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet for Classic. Additionally, they will automatically receive the July six-month subscription offer, making this an attractive option for mount collectors.

World of Warcraft’s 2025 roadmap outlines significant updates for both retail and Classic versions. Retail WoW will see major patches starting with 11.1, and there's potential for player housing by year's end. For Classic, progression servers will move to Mists of Pandaria, new anniversary realms will progress through vanilla to The Burning Crusade, and Season of Discovery will reach its final phase. With such extensive plans across all versions of the game, now is an opportune time to secure a bulk subscription.
