WoW Currency Reminder: Anniversary Event Redemption Extended
WoW Patch 11.1: Automatic Bronze Celebration Token Conversion
Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert any remaining Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion applies to all unused tokens left over from the recent 20th-anniversary event. The exchange rate is 20 Timewarped Badges for every Bronze Celebration Token.
The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, spanning 11 weeks of activities, concluded recently. Players earned Bronze Celebration Tokens to purchase revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary collectibles. Excess tokens could already be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, used in Timewalking events.
Blizzard, recognizing the now-obsolete nature of Bronze Celebration Tokens (confirmed unusable in future events), is implementing this automatic conversion to prevent players from having useless currency in their inventories. The conversion happens upon the first login after Patch 11.1 launches.
Automatic Conversion Details:
- Ratio: 1 Bronze Celebration Token = 20 Timewarped Badges
- Timing: Automatic conversion occurs upon first login after Patch 11.1 goes live.
While a precise release date for Patch 11.1 is unannounced, the conclusion of WoW's Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways events (ending February 17th and 24th respectively) suggests a likely launch around February 25th. This aligns with Blizzard's recent update schedule.
This means the conversion will likely occur after the current Turbulent Timeways event concludes. However, Timewarped Badges remain valuable for future Timewalking events, ensuring players can still utilize their converted currency.
