Warriors: Abyss is a Roguelite Take on the Warriors Franchise, Out Today
Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo unleashes another title, Warriors: Abyss, a fresh take on the musou genre. This new roguelite, featuring familiar faces from the Warriors series, is available now.
Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss lets you build a squad of iconic characters to battle through hordes of enemies. The isometric perspective evokes the feel of Diablo and the acclaimed roguelite, Hades.
Assemble your team and confront the forces of "hell," facing demonic foes. The reveal trailer showcased characters from across the Warriors universe, including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang.
According to the PlayStation Blog, you can recruit and add characters to your team, unlocking unique summoning abilities. Engage in battle with up to seven active heroes, choosing from a launch roster of 100 warriors.Koei Tecmo plans to expand the character roster, starting with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. Further updates are teased, hinting at characters from beyond the Warriors series joining the fray.
Warriors: Abyss is available today on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is slated for February 13, 2025. Players seeking the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set should purchase the game before March 14, 2025.
