Wario Land 4 Joins Nintendo Switch Online Library

Nintendo is set to delight fans by adding the beloved Game Boy Advance title, Wario Land 4, to the Nintendo Switch Online library on February 14. Announced with an exciting trailer, the game will be available at no additional cost to users who have a Nintendo Switch Online membership and have purchased the Expansion Pass.

"The misguided Wario is back, and this time he's in search of riches," the game's synopsis teases. "Ignoring all warning signs, Wario decides to enter a cursed pyramid rumored to house a bounty of gold and jewels. Our anti-hero soon discovers that the curse is no laughing matter, realizing that he'll be lucky to escape alive."

The adventure spans 20 massive stages, where players can collect gold and treasure to purchase bonus items post-stage. Additionally, the game offers a variety of delightful mini-games to enjoy, providing a welcome break from the main action.

Upon its initial release in 2001, Wario Land 4 was met with critical acclaim, securing a 9/10 from IGN. The review praised the game's design, noting, "There's a lot of variety in the game design, and it's more challenging than the usual side-scrolling fare due to its focus on making players figure out how to get to certain locations in the level."

With Wario Land 4, the Nintendo Switch Online library now includes 24 Game Boy Advance titles, joining classics like Mario Kart: Super Circuit, The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, and more. This addition promises to enrich the gaming experience for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.
