Vanillite Stars in Pokémon Go's April 2025 Community Day

As we approach the Spring season, Pokémon Go players will experience a chilly twist with the upcoming Community Day event. Mark your calendars for April 27th, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm local time, when Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokémon, will be the star of the show. During this event, Vanillite will appear more frequently in the wild, offering players a prime opportunity to catch this frosty Pokémon, including its elusive Shiny variant.

The thrill of the event extends beyond just catching Vanillite. Evolve your Vanillite into Vanilluxe during the event window or up to May 4th, and it will learn the powerful Charged Attack, Avalanche. This move boasts 90 power in Trainer Battles and 85 power in Gyms and Raids, significantly enhancing your battle strategy.

For those eager to immerse themselves fully in the event, a Community Day Special Research ticket is available for $2. This ticket provides access to tasks that reward encounters with Vanillite, featuring a unique Might and Mastery-themed special background, alongside additional Vanillite encounters, a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, and other exciting rewards.

Additionally, a Timed Research opportunity will be available throughout the following week, giving you another chance to encounter Vanillite with the exclusive backdrop. The event also includes themed Field Research tasks, which offer rewards such as Stardust, Great Balls, and further encounters with Vanillite. You may even come across tasks that lead to a Vanillite with a special event background.

To enhance your gameplay during the event, several bonuses will be active. You'll earn triple XP for catches, double Candy for each Pokémon caught, and Trainers at level 31 and above will have double the chance of receiving Candy XL. Lure Modules and Incense will last for three hours, and there will be discounts on trading, making it an ideal time to bolster your Pokémon collection.
