New Update: Dredge's Mobile Port Launch Deferred to 2023; Beta Tester Recruitment Announced

Author : Lucy Dec 14,2024

Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!

Fans eagerly awaiting the mobile port of Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, will need to wait a little longer. The release has been pushed back to February 2025. However, to soften the blow, Black Salt Games has opened sign-ups for a new closed beta test.

In Dredge, players take on the role of a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. Initially, the job is straightforward – catching and selling fish. But things quickly take a dark turn with the appearance of strange sea creatures, mysterious entities, and unsettling events on a nearby island, all threatening to unravel your sanity.

Interested in participating in the closed beta? Sign up via this Google form. While the delay is unfortunate, the numerous awards and critical acclaim Dredge has already received suggest the wait will be worthwhile for those who haven't yet experienced this unique blend of fishing and horror.

A challenging port

The delay is understandable, given the game's substantial size and the complexities of adapting it for mobile devices. However, the additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing Black Salt Games to gather valuable player feedback before the official launch. This should ensure a smoother and more enjoyable mobile experience.
