S-Tier

Five characters dominate the S-tier in Tribe Nine, with Tsuruko Semba arguably the best. Her support abilities, including the potent Invigorating Surge ultimate that buffs the entire party while dealing damage, make her incredibly versatile. Her smooth movements also allow for effective damage dealing.

Miu Jujo, an attacker, excels with her Luminous Crystals, dealing consistent damage over time. Her high speed enables easy evasion of attacks, solidifying her as a top damage dealer.

Q, a tank, boasts high Break Ability and strong attacks. His Fighting Will stacks significantly enhance his damage output, particularly effective when paired with Tsuruko Semba and an attacker.

Despite being a 2-star unit, Minami Oi provides excellent healing with her dual-mode drone, seamlessly switching between healing and aggressive attacks. While her damage isn't exceptionally high, her ease of use and ranged attacks make her ideal for new players.

Enoki Yukigaya, another powerful attacker, utilizes Heat stacks gained through combos and counterattacks to unleash devastating special skills.

A-Tier

Eiji Todoroki, an A-tier attacker, combines strong attacks with sustain abilities. His Brilliant Me! skill reduces damage taken while My Turn to Shine! is active, crucial during enemy focus.

Jio Takinogawa offers tanking capabilities, taunting enemies and mitigating damage, but his lower damage output places him in A-tier. He's a solid option, especially for beginners.

Yo Kuronaka, the protagonist, possesses a high Break Ability but suffers from a somewhat awkward moveset and less potent damage compared to S-tier units.

B-Tier

Roku Saigo and Koishi Kohinata comprise the B-tier. Roku is a decent fighter with average damage, lacking standout abilities. Koishi, a free starting healer, serves as a passable support for early game but should be replaced with stronger healers when available.

C-Tier

Yutaka Gotanda, Tsuki Iroha, and Hyakuichitaro Senju form the C-tier. While usable in early and mid-game, their lack of unique abilities limits their endgame potential. Tsuki Iroha is a free unit, but Koishi Kohinata is a better early-game investment. Gotanda offers passable tanking, and Senju provides average damage.
