Teardown Expands with Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC
Tuxedo Labs has announced exciting news for fans of Teardown: a highly anticipated multiplayer mode is on its way, launching alongside the new Folkrace DLC. This expansion will significantly boost the single-player experience with fresh maps, vehicles, and thrilling racing challenges. Players can compete in diverse events, unlock rewards, and customize their vehicles to become the ultimate racing champion.
The multiplayer update will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, providing players with early access and a chance to test the new mode. The developers are actively seeking feedback, particularly from the modding community. Upcoming API updates will allow modders to seamlessly integrate their creations into the multiplayer experience.
This multiplayer addition fulfills a long-held goal for the development team and directly addresses a major request from the Teardown community.
Initially accessible via Steam's Experimental Branch, the multiplayer mode will undergo thorough testing before becoming a core game feature. Concurrent with the launch on the Experimental Branch, API updates will be released to support existing mods in multiplayer environments.
Beyond the Folkrace DLC and multiplayer mode, Tuxedo Labs has confirmed that two more substantial DLCs are in development, with further details promised later in 2025.
