Stellar Blade Expansion Unveils Thrilling Content
Stellar Blade's Latest Update Introduces Bugs, But a Hotfix is Coming
The highly anticipated Patch 1.009 for Stellar Blade, featuring Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, has unfortunately brought some game-breaking issues. Players are reporting softlocks in a main quest and crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie function. Additionally, some new cosmetic items aren't rendering correctly.
Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix to address these problems. They advise players to avoid forcing quest progression and wait for the patch, as attempting workarounds could lead to permanent softlocks.
NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements
The update includes the much-lauded NieR: Automata collaboration. Eleven exclusive items are available through Emil, a character from NieR: Automata who has set up shop in Stellar Blade's world. This collaboration, according to the PlayStation Blog, reflects the mutual respect and creative synergy between directors Kim Hyung Tae and Yoko Taro.
The addition of Photo Mode allows players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges further encourage its use. Four new outfits for Eve and a new accessory (unlocked after a specific ending) that modifies Tachy Mode have also been added. Players can now also choose a "No Ponytail" option for Eve's hairstyle. Other improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, enhanced auto-aim and bullet magnet functions, and various smaller bug fixes.
