Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, has shared a moving message following a near-fatal incident. Last week, he was found "barely alive" in his Atlanta hotel room.

A GoFundMe campaign, which has already raised an astounding $174,653 for his medical expenses and outstanding bills, features a video message from Johnson himself. He reveals he was in a coma.

"I discovered there's a tremendous amount of love in this world that I wasn't aware of, and I'm deeply grateful to each and every one of you," Johnson expressed in the video.

The incident occurred while Johnson was in Atlanta to host a benefit for the National Alzheimer's Association. His absence from the event triggered concern, leading his wife, Kim Johnson, to contact the hotel. Security personnel and EMTs were dispatched, finding Johnson with a barely detectable pulse.

"The rumors of my demise were not exaggerated. It was incredibly close," Johnson stated. "But I'm still here thanks to my wife's quick thinking in contacting the hotel, and my son's action in contacting security. They discovered I was near death."

He continued, describing his five-day coma and expressing gratitude for the swift action of his friends Bill Glasser and Shari Elliker, and his wife Kim, in organizing the GoFundMe. He also thanked the National Alzheimer's Association for supporting his family, Ted Leonsis (chairman of the Washington Capitals' parent company) for a significant $25,000 donation, and Bethesda for their public show of support.

Johnson specifically acknowledged Bethesda's support, stating, "You say I'm your friend. I am, and always will be. I love you guys." He concluded with heartfelt thanks to his fans, both donors and those offering support, assuring them, "I love you all. I'm not going anywhere."

"Recovery will take time," he added, "but I'm coming back. I look forward to seeing and hearing from you all soon. Cheers."

Beyond his extensive video game work with Bethesda, Johnson boasts a diverse career in film and television. His recent role as Ron Hope in Starfield adds to a long list of memorable performances, including Prince Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, multiple Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
