Ubisoft Unveils Rainbow Six Siege X: A Major Overhaul, Not a Sequel
A major announcement for Rainbow Six Siege dropped just before the world championship grand finals, continuing a trend among popular esports titles. Ubisoft, celebrating the game's tenth anniversary, revealed Siege X – a significant upgrade described as neither a simple update nor a full sequel. The developers liken it to the relationship between Counter-Strike 2 and Global Offensive: a substantial enhancement that fundamentally alters the experience while preserving player progress and data.
Further details will be unveiled during a three-hour presentation on March 13th, featuring a live audience in Atlanta. To commemorate a decade of Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft is also releasing a commemorative pack offering legendary skins from the game's earliest seasons – a comprehensive collection of classic cosmetics.
