Black and White Kyurem Arrive!

Following last December's announcement, Niantic has revealed exciting details for the February 2025 Unova Tour. The event, taking place in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, from February 21st to 23rd, will mark the debut of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and the highly anticipated Shiny Meloetta.

Capture and Fusion: The Key to Kyurem's Alternate Forms

Participants will have the chance to catch base Kyurem by defeating Black or White Kyurem in five-star raids. Once caught, the fusion process begins!

To fuse Kyurem:

• Black Kyurem: Requires 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy.
• White Kyurem: Requires 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy.

Fusion Energy is earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reverting Kyurem to its base form is free. Plus, Shiny Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom will have increased appearance rates during the event!

Shiny Meloetta: A Musical Masterpiece

Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can obtain this "Melody Pokémon" by completing a Masterwork Research task. This research won't expire, allowing players to complete it at their own pace.

Unova's Iconic Legendaries

Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originally appeared in Pokémon Black and White, the fifth generation of Pokémon games. Black and White 2 introduced Kyurem's alternate forms, which, like their Pokémon GO counterparts, learn Ice Burn and Freeze Shock.
