Pokemon GO Fashion Week: Remote Raid Passes in Shadow Raids!

This Fashion Week: Taken Over event in Pokemon GO marks a significant change: for the first time, remote raid passes are enabled for Shadow Raids! This limited-time opportunity allows players to participate remotely in one-star, three-star, and five-star Shadow Raids, increasing their chances of catching Pokemon with superior IV stats.

The event runs from January 15th, 12:00 a.m. to January 19th, 8:00 p.m. local time. A special Shadow Ho-Oh Raid Day is included on January 19th (2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time), offering boosted shiny Shadow Ho-Oh encounter rates and the chance to teach it Sacred Fire. This raid day also provides the opportunity to use Charged TMs to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokemon.

This highly requested feature, introduced in 2023, is a temporary addition. Following the Fashion Week event, remote raid passes will once again be unavailable for Shadow Raids. While the future of remote raid pass usage in Shadow Raids remains uncertain, this trial period addresses previous player concerns regarding in-person raid participation for challenging battles. The possibility of this becoming a permanent feature is exciting for many players.
