Pokémon GO's New Year's Celebration: Get Ready for Festive Fun!

Pokémon GO is celebrating the New Year with its annual festive event, running from December 30th, 2024 to January 1st, 2025. This exciting event features themed bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and plenty of ways to ring in the new year in style. Following the Community Day event (December 21st-22nd), trainers can jump right into the New Year's festivities.

This year's event offers a fantastic bonus: earn 2,025 XP for every Pokémon caught with an Excellent Throw! Enjoy the immersive atmosphere with festive decorations and celebratory fireworks illuminating the skies.

Expect increased encounters with special, festively-dressed Pokémon. Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple wearing a party hat – and don't forget the possibility of encountering their Shiny forms!

Raids are also getting a festive makeover! One-star raids feature a snowflake-hat-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates for all three are boosted during the event.
