Just Like A Phoenix! Supercell Announces Project R.I.S.E. From The Ashes Of Clash Heroes
Finnish game developer Supercell has made a surprising announcement. Following the cancellation of their RPG, Clash Heroes, they've revealed Project R.I.S.E., a revitalization of the concept. This isn't a simple relaunch; it's a complete overhaul.
Clash Heroes is officially defunct. However, its spirit lives on in Project R.I.S.E., a multiplayer action RPG roguelite set within the familiar Clash universe. Supercell's announcement video, featuring game lead Julien Le Cadre, confirmed the closure of Clash Heroes but highlighted Project R.I.S.E.'s new direction as a social, multiplayer experience.

Project R.I.S.E. shares DNA with Clash Heroes but is a distinct entity. It's a ground-up development focusing on cooperative gameplay. Players team up in threes to ascend The Tower, a mysterious location with procedurally generated floors, aiming for the highest possible level. Unlike its predecessor's primarily PvE focus, Project R.I.S.E. emphasizes teamwork and diverse character interactions.
Currently in pre-alpha, Project R.I.S.E. is slated for its first playtest in early July 2024. Registration for a chance to participate is open on the official website.
