"Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, Sequel to Oceanhorn 2, Revealed"
FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have exciting news for fans of the Oceanhorn series. They've announced a new addition, *Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon*, set to release on Android, iOS, and PC via Steam in Q2 2025. This new game takes place 200 years after the events of *Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm* and introduces a fresh take on the series.
What’s the Story in New Game Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon?
In *Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon*, players won't be navigating the open seas but will instead delve into the heart of a treacherous underground labyrinth. This game shifts the focus to a retro-inspired dungeon crawler experience.
The setting is a world of Gaia in distress, where the once-mighty Kingdom of Arcadia has fragmented into a collection of scattered islands, and the legendary White City is a distant memory. Amidst this chaos, four brave adventurers embark on a quest to explore the mysterious Chronos Dungeon, a complex believed to house the powerful Paradigm Hourglass. This artefact holds the potential to alter history, offering a chance to restore the world to its former glory if the heroes can survive the dungeon's perils.
The developers have released an announcement trailer for *Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon*, which you can watch right here.
What About the Features?
*Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon* embraces a classic dungeon crawler format with a nostalgic 16-bit arcade feel. The game is designed for couch co-op, allowing up to four players to join forces in side-by-side gameplay. For solo adventurers, you can control all four heroes or switch between them as needed, facing various challenges throughout the game.
Each playthrough offers a unique experience as the heroes' stats are influenced by their zodiac signs, ensuring variability in gameplay. The four playable characters include the Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage, each bringing their own strengths to the team.
The game's aesthetic is a throwback to the past with pixel art visuals and a chiptune-inspired soundtrack, complemented by classic arcade features. You can find more details about *Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon* on its live Steam page.
