Ninja Gaiden 4 announced, Ninja Gaiden 2 remaster released
DOOM: The Dark Ages may have stolen the spotlight at the Developer_Direct, but another major announcement emerged from the shadows: Ninja Gaiden 4. This highly anticipated sequel to Koei Tecmo's acclaimed series is slated for a Fall 2025 release.
The debut trailer showcased the return of the iconic ninja Ryu Hayabusa in a thrilling action-packed slasher. Ninja Gaiden 4 introduces innovative mechanics, including the ability to swiftly navigate the environment using wires and rails, a first for the series.
Set in a visually stunning cyberpunk city perpetually drenched in toxic rain, players will battle hordes of augmented soldiers and terrifying creatures from another realm, all while striving to lift an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.
Adding to the excitement, a massive remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 has already launched on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is available via Game Pass. Team Ninja's masterful port to Unreal Engine 5 boasts completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments, incorporating elements from later series entries and even adding three new playable characters.
Koei Tecmo's dedication to this project is undeniable, and their work deserves the enthusiastic response from the gaming community.
