Miniature Gengar Terrifies Pokemon Fan

A Pokemon fan has recently shared a frightening Gengar miniature with the community, showcasing their amazing painting skills. While most of the Pokemon community is in love with the cutest creatures of the franchise, some players have a spot for the scary ones, and this Gengar miniature represents this niche very well.

Gengar is a Ghost/Poison-type Pokemon that originally appeared in the first generation of Nintendo’s franchise. The creature is the final form in the evolutionary line that starts with Gastly, which evolves into Haunter at Level 25, and then finally into Gengar after being traded with another player. Starting in Gen 6, Gengar also gained a Mega Evolution. It’s fair to say that Gengar is one of the most popular Ghost-type Pokemon in the entire franchise due to how iconic its design is.

Now, a Pokemon fan called HoldMyGranade has shared a terrifying Gengar miniature that they have recently finished painting. The images shared by HoldMyGranade show a monstrous Gengar with red eyes, sharp teeth, and a huge tongue, a stark contrast with Gengar’s official form, which does not feel nearly as scary as this one. In the comments of the post, HoldMyGranade revealed that while they purchased the miniature online, they actually spent a while painting it, and the result is pretty good, as the colors used by the gamer give the monstrous creature even more depth. HoldMyGranade’s mini became very popular with other fans, obtaining over 1,100 upvotes in r/pokemon.

Scary Gengar Pokemon Miniature

While the Pokemon community is pretty famous for the quality of its drawings, it has many fans skilled in different arts. For instance, another Pokemon player made an incredible Hisuian Growlithe miniature with a 3D printer a few years ago. After printing, the mini was painted by the player and it looked incredible, resembling a mixture between the Pokemon and a real-life dog.

Other players have skills such as crocheting adorable Pokemon. Earlier this week, a fan shared a crochet Eternatus doll with the community, for example. In a short video, it was possible to see the monstrous dragon, which actually looked pretty cute despite being based on a ferocious monster.

Yet another example of amazing Pokemon fan art can be seen in a wood Tauros carved by a fan a few months ago. This time, the gamer carved multiple parts out of wood, coming up with an accurate figurine of the popular bull-inspired Gen 1 Normal-type creature.
