Pokémon GO's Max Out Season Introduces Dynamax Pokémon

Get ready for gigantic Pokémon battles! Pokémon GO has officially announced the arrival of Dynamax Pokémon as part of its upcoming Max Out season, running from September 10th, 10:00 a.m. to September 15th, 8:00 p.m. local time.

This exciting update brings Dynamax battles to the forefront, featuring 1-star Max Battles with Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet, and Wooloo. Trainers can catch these Dynamax Pokémon, including their evolved forms, and even encounter shiny variants.

The Max Out season is packed with activities. Expect special Field Research tasks, PokéStop Showcases offering event-themed rewards, and a Seasonal Special Research story focusing on Max Battles. Completing this research yields Max Particles, a new avatar item, and other rewards, available from September 3rd, 10:00 a.m. to December 3rd, 9:59 a.m. local time.

For a head start, an exclusive Max Particle Pack Bundle (4,800 Max Particles) will be available on the Pokémon GO web store for $7.99 starting September 8th, 6:00 p.m. PDT.

Rumors suggest the arrival of Power Spots next month, serving as key locations for Max Battles and particle collection, though Niantic hasn't confirmed this. Interestingly, Pokémon GO senior producer John Funtanilla hinted at the possibility of some Dynamax Pokémon also being able to Mega Evolve, although Gigantamax Pokémon remain unconfirmed for now, despite being teased earlier this year.
