Gamble, in a series of tweets, clarified that while both games originate from the same studio, their artistic approaches differ significantly. He explicitly stated that Mass Effect 5 will not adopt the more stylized, arguably "Disney-esque" or "Pixar-like" visual approach seen in Veilguard. He emphasized that Mass Effect's visual identity will remain photorealistic, stating "Mass Effect will maintain the mature tone of the original Trilogy. This is all I'm gonna say for now." and "Mass Effect will be photorealistic and will be as long as i'm running it."
