Marvel's Glider Returns in Fortnite
After over a year's absence, the highly sought-after Wonder Woman skin has triumphantly returned to the Fortnite item shop. This isn't just the skin itself; the Athena's Battleaxe pickaxe and Golden Eagle Wings glider have also made a comeback, available individually or as a discounted bundle.
Epic Games' Fortnite consistently features exciting crossovers, collaborating with diverse franchises spanning pop culture, music, and even fashion brands like Nike and Air Jordan. This latest return highlights the enduring popularity of superhero cosmetics within the game. DC and Marvel characters, often with multiple variations reflecting different comic book iterations (think "The Batman Who Laughs"), are frequently showcased.
Community member HYPEX confirmed the Wonder Woman skin's return after a 444-day hiatus, its last appearance being October 2023. The full bundle is priced at 2,400 V-Bucks, while the skin alone costs 1,600 V-Bucks.
This Wonder Woman resurgence follows a December influx of other popular DC skins, including Starfire and Harley Quinn. The current Chapter 6 Season 1, with its Japanese theme, also introduced unique variants: Ninja Batman and Karuta Harley Quinn.
The return of these DC characters coincides with Fortnite's action-packed new competitive season. This season's Japanese theme has already seen the temporary return of Dragon Ball skins, and a Godzilla skin is slated for release later this month, with a Demon Slayer crossover potentially on the horizon. The Wonder Woman skin's return provides fans another opportunity to acquire cosmetics for this iconic female superhero.
