Set on a bizarre space station orbiting Jupiter, amidst acid rain and shrouded in mystery, Universe for Sale introduces a world where witty orangutans work the docks and cultists barter flesh for enlightenment. The universe itself is for sale, thanks to Lila, a woman with the remarkable ability to create universes from her very palm.

The game begins in the dilapidated mining colony shantytown, where you play as the Master, a skeletal cultist from the Cult of Detachment. Your journey leads you through quirky tea shops and other strange establishments until you encounter Lila's tea house, Honin's. The mystery surrounding Lila unfolds as you shift between her perspective and the Master's.

Playing as Lila, you engage in a captivating mini-game: crafting mesmerizing universes by mixing and matching ingredients. As the Master, you delve into the philosophies of the Cult of Detachment and encounter the Church of Many Gods.

The narrative unfolds gradually, prompting players to theorize about the underlying events. Each character, whether human, skeletal, or robotic, possesses a unique story, and the richly detailed world encourages thorough exploration.
