Jack Quaid, star of "The Boys," has expressed his enthusiasm for participating in a potential BioShock movie, citing the game as one of his all-time favorites. During a Reddit AMA to promote his new film, Novocaine, Quaid highlighted BioShock's rich lore, which he believes would be perfect for a TV or movie adaptation. "I would actually love to be in a live action adaptation of BioShock - one of my favorite games of all time," he stated. "I think there's such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation."

The possibility of a BioShock movie being realized has been a topic of interest, especially after producer Roy Lee mentioned last July that changes in leadership had led to a "reconfiguration" of the project. This shift has resulted in a more personal approach to the film. Lee noted that budget adjustments from Netflix have contributed to these changes, although specific details about the plot remain undisclosed. Francis Lawrence, known for directing the Hunger Games series, continues to be attached as the director. Lee explained, "The new regime has lowered the budgets. So we’re doing a much smaller version. It’s going to be a more personal point of view, as opposed to a grander, big project."

Quaid also touched upon his striking resemblance to the video game character Max Payne, whose likeness is modeled after Remedy writer Sam Lake. Fans have drawn comparisons between Quaid's appearance in his new action movie, Novocaine, and the iconic Max Payne, leading to speculation about a possible connection. However, Quaid admitted to being less familiar with Max Payne, despite recognizing the similarities. "I've seen people say that I look like Max Payne, and when I've looked at the box art, even I did a double-take," Quaid said. "I love Rockstar's games, but unfortunately I've never played that one - it's next on the list, for sure."

In addition to his interest in BioShock, Quaid revealed his passion for FromSoftware games. In the same Reddit AMA, he shared his experiences with challenging titles like Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. "I'm a huge video game nerd," he confessed. "And lately I've been diving headfirst into the FromSoftware library. I beat Bloodborne, then I beat Sekiro, and now I'm going full boar into Elden Ring. Actually, the thing I use Reddit the most for is tips and tricks on beating Fromsoft's bosses. I love how challenging the games are - it took me a while to get into them, but now I'm obsessed."
