Indie Gem Ghostrunner Devs Unveils Project

One More Level, the studio behind the acclaimed Ghostrunner series, has unveiled a new project: Cyber Slash. Known for their fast-paced, brutal action games, One More Level is shifting gears with this title. While they also have Project Swift in development (slated for a 2028 release), the recently revealed artwork strongly suggests Cyber Slash is their current focus.

Cyber Slash departs from the cyberpunk setting of Ghostrunner, transporting players to an alternate 19th century, a dark and epic reimagining of the Napoleonic era. Expect a challenging, action-packed experience, but with a twist. While precision combat, parrying, and exploiting enemy weaknesses remain central, the protagonist will undergo mutations throughout the game, adding a unique evolution element to the gameplay. This marks a departure from the Souls-like formula, promising a fresh take on action combat. The game will feature legendary heroes facing off against terrifying, unknown forces in a thrilling historical fantasy setting.
