Genshin Impact 5.5 Update: Introducing Varesa and Iansan!

miHoYo (HoYoverse) has officially unveiled two new characters joining the Genshin Impact roster in update 5.5! While leaks had previously circulated, the official reveal confirms the arrival of Varesa and Iansan.

Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user, is described as easygoing and carefree, yet a formidable force in battle.

"Varesa, my most peculiar student… No one matches her easygoing, carefree nature. No matter where she travels, she’s like a child on an adventure—always searching for delicious treats or a cozy spot to rest... But beware! If you ever fight Abyss monsters with her, the moment she gets into the zone, she turns into an unstoppable force!"

Joining Varesa is Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm user. Previously an NPC, Iansan is now a playable character and Natlan's top trainer.
