While their acquisition and use might seem unclear initially, this guide provides a comprehensive overview. Resources are conveniently stored in the items tab of your inventory menu, allowing for easy tracking.

How to Get & Use Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker

Bright Blood, the most common resource, is earned by defeating enemies, destroying objects, and opening crates in the Overgrowth. Selling gear to Hub vendors also yields Bright Blood.

Its uses include:

• Looting Blades and Rails from corpses in the Overgrowth.
• Opening Stashes and crates in the Overgrowth.
• Purchasing gear from Overgrowth and Hub vendors.
• Upgrading gear at Hub vendors.

How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker

Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. Early game, this involves dying four times and using all your Rezes. After depleting your Rezes, find the NPC at the Hub's Telepad and provide the requested materials to reset the Overgrowth and progress towards earning Gold Rations.

Gold Rations are key to meta-progression. Use them at Pherus Bit in the Hub to unlock permanent upgrades. They also unlock new vendor services in the Hub.

How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker

Abyss Stones are acquired by defeating Crowns—challenging bosses found through Overgrowth gates. Remember, you need Prisms (locations marked by yellow diamonds on the map) before tackling Crowns.

Like Gold Rations, Abyss Stones are for meta-progression. Use them during loadout confirmation to upgrade Sycom stats and unlock new characters.

How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker

Keys are occasionally found in unmarked small containers throughout the Overgrowth.

Keys bypass barriers in the Overgrowth, granting access to Stashes and other containers. They also unlock Labs, subterranean areas containing enemies and loot.

How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker

MediGems are crucial for obtaining Medkits. Find them by interacting with glowing flowers in the Overgrowth.

You'll need to expand your Medkit capacity to one (using a Gold Ration at Pherus Bit) before using MediGems.

How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker

Cores, another meta-progression resource, are found in Stashes (marked with chest icons) or by combining four Core Shards. Shards are obtained from enemies that yield Prisms and from unmarked lootable objects.

Cores upgrade your Sycom during loadout confirmation, boosting Breaker stats.

Materials are primarily earned by using Bright Blood to open small chests (often marked with gems) in the Overgrowth. Selling gear in the Hub also provides Materials.
