HeroQuest: First Light offers a more affordable entry point for newcomers. While it streamlines production by using cardboard tokens instead of plastic miniatures (except for the impressive dragon), it retains the core gameplay. Existing HeroQuest owners might find less incentive unless they’re completionists, crave the unique quests, or desire additional hero figures to paint. Importantly, First Light is fully compatible with all other HeroQuest content.
