The Gothic 1 Remake demo has been released on Steam

To celebrate the release of the Gothic 1 Remake demo, "Nyras Prologue," THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled a new trailer.
Unlike the original Gothic, where players embody the Nameless Hero, the remake introduces Nyras, a prisoner, as the playable character. His objective remains the same: survival in the unforgiving game world.
Launched during the Steam Next Fest, the demo shattered concurrent player records for the entire Gothic franchise:

This demo showcases the enhanced visuals, animations, and Unreal Engine 5-powered combat system. Naturally, the prologue doesn't fully represent the expansive gameplay and intricate RPG mechanics of the complete game.
The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, GOG). A specific release date is yet to be revealed.
