Goat Simulator Series Is Getting a Card Game, Coming Later This Year

Unexpected news for Goat Simulator fans: a card game is in the works! Prepare for goat-fueled mayhem in a new format. The game, slated for release later this year, promises the same absurdity as its video game predecessors.

Coffee Stain North, the creators of Goat Simulator, have joined forces with MOOD Publishing (known for titles like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game) to bring this card game to life.

What We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game

Details are scarce, but the game will support 2-6 players engaged in chaotic goat-centric battles. Expect the signature absurdity of the franchise, now packaged in a card game.

Launching on Kickstarter later this year, Goat Simulator: The Card Game is a physical card game. If you've experienced the digital goat-flinging antics, you can likely imagine the card game's chaotic energy.

Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, humorously commented, "Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That's why we've partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You've seen goats on your screen; now it's time to bring them to your table."

From April Fool's Joke to a Genre?

Initially an April Fool's Day joke in 2014, Goat Simulator has transcended its humble beginnings. Its presence spans various platforms, including PCs, consoles, and mobile devices. With Goat Simulator 3 continuing the legacy, the addition of a card game further solidifies its unique position in gaming.

In the meantime, you can find the Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for our next article covering the Solo Leveling: Arise update.
