Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you initially weaponless. Fortunately, you can acquire the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a single groat. This guide details how to obtain this valuable ranged weapon.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or a miller. Regardless of your chosen path, the blacksmith's location on your map makes acquiring the bow incredibly convenient.

The blacksmith's workshop is located in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Follow the western road out of Troskowitz, then continue north. At the fork in the road, where a smaller path branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. A small training area is hidden within these trees.

You'll find a target with arrows; collect these for free ammunition. To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, you'll discover the Dogwood Village Bow. There are also additional resources like brew and mushrooms nearby.

Alternative Acquisition Methods

While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, buying the Dogwood Village Bow isn't recommended due to its relatively weak stats and the proximity of the free alternative. Vitek offers superior weapons, and you can supplement your income through alchemy.

Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon significantly improves your combat capabilities, especially considering the game's difficulty settings. Melee combat might not suit everyone's playstyle, making the bow a valuable asset.
