For Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the PS5, Square Enix has alluded to visual enhancements

The PC version of the game boasts superior visuals and stability compared to its PS5 counterpart, sparking community discussions about a much-needed PS5 update. The PS5 version, especially in performance mode, suffers from noticeable blurriness, leaving base console owners with little choice but to await patches. However, game director Naoki Hamaguchi assures players that improvements are feasible within the PS5's technical constraints.

"Following the PC version's promotional release, we've received numerous requests for a similar PS5 update. We intend to address this at some point, while remaining mindful of the PS5 version's performance limitations," Hamaguchi stated.

Fans eagerly anticipate Square Enix's response to these requests and hope for enhanced console visuals.

While the team is diligently working on the sequel, Hamaguchi requests patience, promising further details at a later date. He highlights 2024 as a successful year for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second game in the trilogy, citing its global recognition and award wins. The third installment presents unique challenges as the developers aim for broader appeal. Interestingly, Hamaguchi also expressed his admiration for Grand Theft Auto VI, acknowledging the immense pressure on the Rockstar Games team due to GTA V's phenomenal success.
