Explore Spider-Woman's Origins in Marvel Contest of Champions Update
Marvel Contest of Champions (MCOC) is set to enhance your gaming experience with a plethora of exciting updates in April, headlined by the introduction of the new champion, Spider-Woman. Jessica Drew, known as Spider-Woman, brings a compelling backstory to the game. Originally exposed to uranium as a child, her father, a brilliant geneticist, attempted to save her by injecting her with a concoction of spider DNA. After overcoming the initial challenges, Jessica emerged with extraordinary spider-like abilities, ready to join the roster of MCOC champions starting April 17th.
Before Spider-Woman makes her entrance, another fascinating character, Lumatrix, will join the fray on April 9th. Designed by the Founders as a formidable assassin, Lumatrix is equipped with dazzling light-based powers, making him a lethal infiltrator and eliminator within the game's universe.
What Else Is New?
The narrative of MCOC continues to evolve with the release of Act 9 Chapter 2, titled Inquisition. This chapter follows Carina, who is seriously injured after an encounter with the forces of Ouroborus, while Doctor Doom collaborates with the Fantastic Four to combat the spreading corruption of the Chronoserpent. A new villain, Lotan, also makes an appearance, adding depth to the storyline.
Additionally, a new Event Quest, Spy Games, will launch on April 9th and run through May 7th. In this quest, Black Widow investigates the enigmatic Eidols, enlisting the help of Spider-Woman to unravel the mystery.
Dark Phoenix is set to return in the Side Quest titled Dark Bounties. Players will need to track down champions targeted by Dark Phoenix's bounties to claim their rewards.
The Incursions: Dark Phoenix Saga Sector is making a comeback, offering players the chance to battle with their strongest Saga champions for valuable rewards such as Dark Plumes, Light Essence, Tier 7 Basic Fragments, and 7-Star Class Signature Stones.
